Hello everyone! I hope this doesn't suck. But it might.
Addiction
Chapter 1
"Where are you going?" House asked as Cameron walked toward the door of the Diagnostics Office.
"The bathroom," Cameron said quietly. She walked out and started walking down the hallway. House just watched her from behind for a while before limping slowly after her. The bathroom was the other way, Wilson's office was the way she was headed.
Why Wilson? House thought. Sure, he's nice. But he's not me.
To House's surprise, Cameron didn't go into Wilson's office. Instead, she stepped onto the outside porch. House decided to keep following her. She climbed up the stairs and sat on the roof. What House watched next was not too much of a surprise. Cameron was almost as bad at hiding it as Stacey was.

Heehee! Don't kill the president! Those voices in your head tell you to do stuff...I know...but killing the president (even if HE DESERVES IT!!!) will get you arrested. That was random...sorry!
Chapter 2
When she heard footsteps, Cameron quickly turned around and put her hands behind her back.
"Give it up, I know you smoke," House said. It was stupid how so many people try to hide it. Say it or not, don't try to hide it.
Cameron guiltily took the cigarette out from behind her back. "I...I'm just..." she stopped. She couldn't think of exactly what to say.
"Addicted?" House finished.
Cameron silently nodded, dropped the cigarette on the roof, and stomped it out.
"I can't help it. After Ezra, I...a cigarette sounded okay. I really can't help it." With this, a single tear fell onto Cameron's cheek.
House was stuck. He was addicted. But his addiction was somewhat necessary, the giant hole in his leg hurt everyday. It was Cameron's life that hurt. That made her addicted. And not just to cigarettes, but to him as well.

Chapter 3
"Those will kill you," House said, pointing to the stomped out cigarette.
"It's not like you have an addiction. Of course not, you're perfect. The Vicodin you take, those could kill you too!" Cameron yelled. The smoking was a real issue for her, she was ashamed about it. She tried to stop, tried to hide it, but she couldn't. She needed a cigarette to get her through the day. She was embarrassed, ashamed, and sensitive about her smoking. And House was making it worse.
"At least I have a reason!" he yelled. His addiction was also a sensitive topic for him. Although not as sensitive as Cameron. "I had half my leg removed! You only smoke because your life sucks and you're trying to make it better!"
Cameron started to cry now. "Leave me alone," she said.
"You sound like and eight year old. Deal with this like an adult."
"I see you've been dealing with your addiction like an adult! The patient's getting worse...I'll just pop a pill! My life is miserable...I'll just pop a pill! My leg hurts...I'll just pop a pill!" Cameron mocked. But it wasn't funny to either of them.
"I have a reason," House gritted through his teeth.
"So do I!" Cameron screamed. She didn't care if the entire hospital heard her. House didn't get it, she had a reason. Perhaps not a valid one, but a reason.
"Then what is it?" House yelled. The screaming match continued the same way for over ten minutes. Finally, Cameron broke. She sat down on the other side of the roof and cried. House just stood there, watching her. He hadn't meant to be so mean, he just wanted her to realize that smoking wasn't doing anything for her.
"I'm...sorry," he muttered before turning towards the stairs. Before he could get down too many steps, he heard a faint plea from the roof. "Wait," she said. "I need to tell you something."

Chapter 4
House turned around and walked back towards Cameron.
"When my husband was diagnosed with cancer...we...before he died, when I fell in love with his best friend Joe, I started to smoke. It kept me away from Joe and kept my mind off my husband. Especially after Ezra, I wanted to smoke agian. I almost started after my one night stand with Chase. The drugs just made it worse." Cameron started to cry again.
Again, House was stuck. He didn't know what to do. He quietly put his hand on her shoulder and wiped some tears away from her face. Cameron shuddered and rubbed her arms with her hands. "I can't stop," she whispered.
'Just like me,' House mused to himself. He couldn't stop the Vicodin, she couldn't stop the cigarettes. Could she help him? Or even the other way around?

Thanks for the support! Here goes...I hope it doesn't suck...
Chapter 5
That night, Cameron was still a mess. She smelled like cigarette smoke, even after she had taken two showers. Her eyes were red and puffy from cying, she was blowing her nose constantly. She missed her husband, a lot. Whenever she thought of him she reached for a cigarette.
Not feeling any better, and in fact feeling like she was in an awful downward spiral, she picked up the phone and dialed.
"Wilson, I told you, my hooker comes on Tuesdays! It's Thursday. Go back to sleep!" a grumpy and tired House answered.
As upset as she was, Cameron had to stifle a giggle. "House? It's Cameron."
"Well, the hooker thing goes for you too. Wait until Tuesday."
"Can you....can you come over? I need help," Cameron said. She was on the verge of tears again.
There was a silence on the other end for sometime. Cameron was giving the phone a death grip, she wanted to talk to someone so badly. "House? Are you there?" she asked timidly.
"I'll be over in twenty minutes," he said and hung up. Why had he even agreed to it? She was his employee, it was after midnight, and she was calling him over to her apartment. He didn't want to play hooker, if that was what this was all about. Well, he would find out in twenty minutes anyway.

Chapter 7
Twenty minutes later, Cameron heard a knock on her door. She slowly got up and walked over to open it. House looked tired, really tired. His hair was all messed up, he obviously hadn't taken time to brush it.
"Are you going to let me in?" House asked/mumbled.
Cameron nodded and stepped into her apartment. House limped after her, and there was an akward silence. When Cameron noticed he was staring at her legs, she ran off to put some pants on. She was only wearing a big t-shirt.
When she came back, House was sitting on the couch. Cameron walked over to him and was surprised that he didn't move when she sat down. She looked at his eyes and realized that he had fallen asleep. She should have just waited until work the next day. But she needed someone to talk to, or at least be with. She would have just continued crying all night if House hadn't come. After a couple minutes of staring at his sleeping form, Cameron lay her head on his chest and tried to fall asleep. Just as she was about to fall asleep, she felt an arm wrap around her stomach. And with that, she fell asleep.

Ryan Ross is the guitarist in Panic! At the Disco! I <3 him! I'm watching The Producers-it's the funniest thing on the planet! I love the 'worst director on Earth's' assistant, Carmensomething. He's hilarious. The next time I open the door, I'm going to leap there like he did. And answer "Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss?" like he did! And when he said "May I take your coats, hats, and....swastikas?" That was hilarious! (Long story about the swastikas...no offense meant)
Chapter 8
When House woke up, he panicked. What had they done last night? Cameron was sleeping on him, her head resting on his chest. It took a while to realize that nothing had happened between them. He had gone over to her apartment, she was crying, he fell asleep. She must have fallen asleep on him. God, she looked beautiful. Even if her eyes were still a little red from crying and she had slight dark circles under her eyes.
About ten minutes later, Cameron had the same panic. And she too realized that nothing had happened. A little embarrassed, she mumbled, "I'm sorry, House."
House was quiet. He knew he should accept the apology, but he couldn't form any words. For the first time, he was at a loss for words.
"I guess I deserve that, I should have dealt with it myself," Cameron muttered. She started to get off of him, but he kept his arm around her. Cameron was happy that he at least cared enough to stay. He could have left her to cry, but he came. And he didn't leave when she fell asleep.
House quietly stroked Cameron's shoulder. This reminded her of her husband so much, Cameron couldn't stand it. She started to cry again. She pulled herself away from House and went for a tissue.
"I'm sorry," Cameron whispered. "You can leave if you want."
"That's ok, my hooker comes on Tuesdays. I think I asked her to come at nine tonight, but I can change that if I have other plans," House smirked. Cameron blushed hugely and had to stifle a laugh.
"You can go, I should have dealt with it like an adult. It's my problem," Cameron said. She went over to the door and opened it.
House stood up and limped toward the door. "I'm sorry too," he said. He kissed her on the lips and limped out the door and down the hall. Cameron stood there, stunned, and watched him limp down the hall and to the elevator. She needed to know if he loved her. If he did, she loved him too. If he didn't, her smoking would get worse. She needed to know if he could be her addiction.

Chapter 9
"What?" House asked from the hall as if nothing had happened.
"What was that?" Cameron asked, not accusingly, just curiously. She was grinning despite her bad mood. House's kiss had lightened her mood considerably.
"Well, I thought it was a kiss," House said. "But I might be hallucinating. It might be the LSD I took last night. D*mn that stuff, it's great for a couple hours, then it's just annoying." He smirked.
Cameron had to resist the urge to fall on the floor laughing. "Thank you," she said.
"For what?"
"For staying with me. I needed someone there. And for the kiss. Even if you don't love me, that meant a lot," Cameron whispered.
House was a little taken aback. A little. "Who says I don't love you?" he asked. This was mostly being argumentative, he actually had no idea if he loved her.
"I just figured, you being you," Cameron said. "Maybe you were treating me like some bad hooker. One kiss and you're gone."
This hit House a bit harder. If he did love her, that was a low blow. "Touche," he said. All this time he had been quietly limping back up the hall towards Cameron. He took his free hand, placed it behind her head, and kissed her. When he pulled back, she whispered, "Touche."

Chapter 10
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Cameron asked. If she started it and he stopped, she would be crushed.
House nodded and crushed his mouth back to hers. His hands fumbled with the drawstrings on her pants. Those things were so d*mn annoying. For a minute, Cameron pulled away. "Are you really sure? Do you really love me?"
House pulled back. She really didn't want to continue on unless he really loved her. He took a minute to think about it. "Do you want me to say it?" he asked. "Fine. I love you, Allison Cameron."
That was the most beautiful thing Cameron had ever heard. Her eyes filled with tears. "Thank you," she whispered.
"Now can we finish?" House asked. Cameron laced her fingers around the back of House's head and kissed him deeply. Before pushing him back into the apartment, Cameron nodded her head. If he really loved her, she needed help from him. And she knew that he needed help from her. With her cigarettes and his Vicodin, there would be trouble all around.

I tried my hand at balloon animal making.... can I amuse small children? More like set fire to them...my balloon animal making is awful. I tried to make a poodle, it's tail came out two times longer than the body! It's horrible...really...
Chapter 11
"Do you love me?" Cameron asked. She was staring at the ceiling, but turned to face House, who was lying next to her.
"Didn't we already go through this?" House's blue eyes stared intently at Cameron.
Cameron smiled. "Can you tell me anyway?"
"Fine," House fake pouted. "I love you."
"Thank you," Cameron whispered into his ear. She was about to kiss him, but she stopped. She was craving a cigarette, badly.
House, dissapointed at not getting the kiss, whined "What's the matter now?"
Cameron stood up and went over to her dresser. 'I must have a pack somewhere,' she thought.
"What are you looking for?" House asked.
Hoping he wouldn't hear, Cameron mumbled "A cigarette."
House picked up on that immedeatly. He got up and limped as fast as he could over to Cameron. He pulled her away from the dresser and grabbed her hands. He ran his fingers through her hair, hoping to distract her in some way. A cigarette would just feed the addiction.
"House, please, I need one," Cameron said. She couldn't take the craving anymore. Desperate for a distraction, House crushed his lips to hers. She gasped, but then kissed back. 'Please let this work,' House thought. Cameron was obviously getting into it, she ran her hands up and down his back. Finally, House pulled away.
"Better?" he asked.
Cameron smiled and nodded. But she thought to herself, 'Better...only for a while.' The cravings were getting worse. But for a while, she craved House instead.
