Chapter 11
"Do you love me?" Cameron asked. She was staring at the ceiling, but turned to face House, who was lying next to her.
"Didn't we already go through this?" House's blue eyes stared intently at Cameron.
Cameron smiled. "Can you tell me anyway?"
"Fine," House fake pouted. "I love you."
"Thank you," Cameron whispered into his ear. She was about to kiss him, but she stopped. She was craving a cigarette, badly.
House, dissapointed at not getting the kiss, whined "What's the matter now?"
Cameron stood up and went over to her dresser. 'I must have a pack somewhere,' she thought.
"What are you looking for?" House asked.
Hoping he wouldn't hear, Cameron mumbled "A cigarette."
House picked up on that immedeatly. He got up and limped as fast as he could over to Cameron. He pulled her away from the dresser and grabbed her hands. He ran his fingers through her hair, hoping to distract her in some way. A cigarette would just feed the addiction.
"House, please, I need one," Cameron said. She couldn't take the craving anymore. Desperate for a distraction, House crushed his lips to hers. She gasped, but then kissed back. 'Please let this work,' House thought. Cameron was obviously getting into it, she ran her hands up and down his back. Finally, House pulled away.
"Better?" he asked.
Cameron smiled and nodded. But she thought to herself, 'Better...only for a while.' The cravings were getting worse. But for a while, she craved House instead.

Chapter 12
"Good morning, Dr. House," Cuddy said as House walked into the hospital Monday. He and Cameron had taken a 'personal' day off on Friday.
"I see you're here early," Nurse Brenda said. House walked past her and stepped into the elevator. He was miserable. He had made a bet with Cameron, if she could go a week without smoking, he would go a week without Vicodin. It was harder for him because one top of withdrawl symptoms he was in a huge amount of pain.
Cameron looked like death. She was pale, she had black circles under her eyes, and she was exhausted. "Hello ducklings," House said. When he looked at Cameron, he changed his mind. "Good morning two healthy ducklings and one half dead duckling." Cameron could have sworn he winked at her.
Chase and Foreman turned their heads to look at Cameron. She did look awful, looking like death and pacing around the coffee maker. She couldn't stop moving. And she was chewing large amounts of gum.
"Do we have a patient?" Cameron asked impatiently.
"Nope," House said. "When you finally get your caffine buzz, you all can go cover my clinic hours. Foreman, Chase go start now. The half dead duckling needs her caffine." House didn't look to good himself, either. He was unusually unhappy and he had black circles under his eyes too. He constantly rubbed his leg, hoping to ease the pain.
Chase and Foreman reluctantly got up and went to start House's clinic hours. "Finally," House muttered when they left. "That wombat was chewing his pencil...it was making a stupid clicking noise...giving me a headache..." he said. Cameron nodded, even though she only heard one third of what he actually said. This was going to be a long week.

Chapter 13
"What's with House and Cameron?" Chase asked as he and Foreman walked towards the clinic. "They both took a 'personal' day off on Friday, and today they're winking at each other. But they both look awful."
Foreman just shrugged and kept walking. Whatever was going on with House, he didn't want to be part of it. That usually got him mockery and lots of annoying comments.
"I'm going ask Cameron if she wants to go get a drink with me," Chase asked. He hoped he still had a chance with Cameron.
"I wouldn't. Did you see those looks they were giving each other? House will probably bite your head off if you get within four feet of Cameron," Foreman said. He was trying to save Chase from some embarrassment and a very painful decapitation.
"I'll wait until House leaves," Chase said angrily. He thought Foreman was just going to ask Cameron out herself.
"Whatever," Foreman said as he grabbed a file from a nurse and headed into Exam Room 1.
Chase, instead of doing House's clinic duty, decided to go back upstairs and ask Cameron out. He got into the elevator, pressed the button, and waited. While he was in the elevator, he wondered where he and Cameron could go. Maybe to the new bar across the street from the hospital. When Chase reached House's office, he saw something that would probably never leave his head again. House and Cameron were totally engulfed in each other, lips locked. Cameron was running her fingers through House's hair and House had his hands on the small of her back. It almost made Chase want to throw up. He never thought House, a Vicodin addicted b@st@rd, could get someone like Cameron, a beautiful and intellegent woman. What Chase saw next was possibly even more disturbing.

Chapter 14
Cameron had started to fiddle with the buttons on House's shirt. She undid them one by one, her mouth never leaving his. House must have said something, because Cameron stopped and pulled away. 'Thank God,' thought Chase. 'Maybe he told her off.'
Instead, House started walking towards Chase. Chase tried to leave, but it was too late. House had already pressed his face to the glass and mouthed something which Chase could have sworn was "Jealous wombat." House pulled down the blinds and Chase heard a clicking sound coming from the door. House had obviously locked the door and was now going to go back to Cameron.
Chase, being very jealous, didn't act rationally. He should have just walked away, but instead he went into the Diagnostics Office. House had locked the door, but forgotten to close one of the blinds completely. Chase decided to watch them until: a) he threw up; or (b) they noticed him.
Cameron had gone back to House's shirt buttons, and had now removed the entire shirt. Chase would have to suffer a bad mental image of a shirtless House for a long time. Then, he saw something he wished he never had.
**sorry for all the 'what he saw next', I'm just trying to pace things a little**

Chapter 15
House pulled off Cameron's sweater, revealing a very lacy red bra. Chase actually enjoyed that part. Then, House abruptly stopped. Chase thought he had seen him, so he quickly went over to the table and picked up a crossword puzzle. Instead, Chase realized, House was clearing stuff from his desk. The mental image Chase got after that made him want to vomit. In fact, he almost did.
Cameron took off her skirt and went over to the desk. She sat there, in her underwear, waiting for House. She gave him the 'come hither' look. Chase couldn't take anymore, he had to look away.
'Well,' he thought to himself, 'they'll get a surprise when they come out.'

Chapter 16
When House and Cameron came out, they were both fully clothed and Cameron was grinning from ear to ear. House was just smirking and watching Cameron's evey step. He needed to make sure she didn't cheat, or at least that's what he said.
Being with House, even just thinking about it, made Cameron happy. She had waited two years, and then in less than a month he tells her he loves her. It was a little abrupt, but Cameron didn't care. She knew that if he truly loved her, the abruptness didn't matter. And, he was a great kisser. Blushing at the thought, Cameron went to make coffee.
"Hello, Dr. Jealous Wombat," House said.
Chase just smirked and kept reading his newspaper. They had no idea what he was about to spring on them.

Chapter 17
"So, House," Chase said. He was going to drag this out as long as possible. "How would you feel if-" House cut him off.
"If what?" House asked irritabley.
"If someone 'accidentally' saw a video, on DVD even, of you and Cameron-on the desk," Chase said. He knew this was blackmail, but he just couldn't resist.
"And how would you feel if my cane was shoved up somewhere uncomfortable for you?" House quipped. The little weasel, Chase had videotaped them! House was Chase's boss. Cameron was Chase's colleague.
"I just thought, if you didn't want Cuddy to see this," Chase said.
"I just thought, if you ever want to have children-" House snarked. Chase was such a b@st@rd.
"Here it is," Chase said. He waved the DVD infront of House's face.
Cameron, who had overheard all of this, and was now fuming mad, grabbed the tape from Chase. "Well then," she said. "We'll just see what's on the video." She put the DVD in House's computer and sat at the desk.
Chase stood behind her, nervousely. He hadn't actually videoed them, he was trying to blackmail House to give up Cameron or something like that. When Cameron actually saw what was on there, she would explode. It was a video of her smoking on the roof, from a couple weeks ago. Chase had been looking for something to tape with his new DVD movie thing, and he had gone up to the roof.
When Cameron saw the video, she did explode. "You b@st@rd! You knew! You didn't say anything! And, you told House it was us! If it had been us....you...you b@st@rd! You didn't say anything about my smoking! You didn't try to help me! You didn't say a d@mn thing!" Cameron was screaming.
House, too, was extremely mad. If it had been him and Cameron, which he doubted Chase had the courage to videotape, he would have destroyed the tape and Chase. Chase hadn't said a thing about Cameron's smoking. If he did love her, he would have tried to help her.
Cameron stormed out of the office, leaving a very confused Chase and a very mad House. Not a good combination. "Cameron, I'm sorry," Chase said. He hadn't intended for them to actually look at the tape. Before he had time to go apologize to Cameron, he felt a sickeningly hard object hit his stomach. Chase doubled over in pain, and House recoiled his fist.
"Feel better, Dr. Jealous B@st@rd Wombat," House said. He gave Chase a hard punch in the jaw and left to find Cameron. She had almost certainly gone to the roof.
